Stay Connected to the Chicago Comic Artist Community during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

You may know by now that the State of Illinois is under a "Shelter-in-Place" order amidst the current COVID-19 Pandemic that is affecting the City of Chicago, as well the entire state, country (and world).

Because of that, Let's Make Comics has postponed all work parties and other face-to-face gatherings until further notice.

We apologize for any inconvenience, but the safety of everyone is a priority during this crisis.

But Folks, We’re still here!

Work parties, our bi-weekly meetings at the Chicago Public Library, have been a central part of our efforts in building a closer community for Chicago’s large and diverse population of comics creators.

So many of us come together to these meetings and socialize with like-minded people. Some of us collaborate, some of us search for advice and assistance, and some of us just want to be within a crowd of other creatives in order to enlighten our own ways forward.

We are not putting a freeze to this.

Our Discord Community, until further notice, is replacing all scheduled bi-weekly work parties with online streaming parties.

These online streaming parties have been a blast. All of us jump on a voice channel and some of us stream the art we’ve been working on! It’s also been a great source of socializing during this time of isolation.

We’ve already had new members come into the fold through these online work parties, and we would love you to join as well.
